CHILDREN OF BODOM: New Album To Contain 'Industrial Elements'
June 2, 2005According to a post at Scythes-Of-Bodom.com, CHILDREN OF BODOM mainman Alexi Laiho recently told Finland's Soundi magazine that the group's forthcoming album, "Are You Dead Yet?", will feature some completely new influences. The follow-up to 2003's "Hate Crew Deathroll" will be even more straight-forward than its predecessor and will contain some industrial elements while retaining COB's trademark sound, including the super-fast guitar and keyboard solos.
CHILDREN OF BODOM are currently recording "Are You Dead Yet?" at a studio in Helsinki, Finland with producer Mikko Karmila. Nine songs are expected to appear on the new album, including "Are You Dead Yet?", "In Your Face", "Punch Me I Bleed" and partial re-recording of "Trashed, Lost & Strungout" (featuring new vocals and guitar leads).
"Are You Dead Yet?" is scheduled for release in September via Spinefarm Records.
